About Viking Fused Glass

Fused glass is a process where you take pieces of glass to create your design. We use the best fusing glass possible, in various vibrant colors, cut and arranged into the designs we want. It's then heated in a kiln to a very high temperature until it melts together. The glass can be fired numerous times to achieve the desired appearance. Once it's annealed, it's kiln-formed into the desired shaped and then annealed once more. When the piece is cooled the final touches are then done with the end result being a lasting work of art. Many unexpected and wonderful things can happen in each firing, making each piece unique
